In case you haven't heard, President Trump signed the Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture Act (PACT Act) into law. The PACT Act makes animal cruelty a felony offense and bans the creation and distribution of animal crushing content.

I honestly am very happy about this, as I, and probably many others, believe no act of cruelty or harm against anyone is ever protected by the 1st Amendment.

Anyways, as a result, we have updated the ToS for all of our websites and have updated the rules of this Poal sub to ban animal cruelty and animal crushing content. And we encourage many other companies and websites to do the same.

What BS. The law is clear enough and Poal just expanded the law. Why? Because it butt hurts someone's morals?

Every speech butt hurts someone's morals.

The new Poal policy goes well beyond the law too.

The decision we made for our Poal sub was not made by Poal themselves. This decision was made entirely by we at Sandia Mesa for our sub on this website and we believe it is reasonable to comply with the new PACT Act, as it makes what are clearly and incontrovertibly dangerous and immoral acts that infringe on the safety of others unlawful.

This is not a ban on any speech or expression protected by the 1st Amendment whatsoever simply because it butt hurts someone's morals. We're talking about animal cruelty and animal crushing.

Are cartoons of the road runner crushing Wil-E with an anvil illegal now?

That's not the point of this ban at all. There's a huge difference between a cartoon and real life. Perhaps, if you read the new law we're doing this ban in compliance with, you would understand this.

And the law has exceptions .... if you don't understand I cannot fix it.

And the 1st Amendment has exceptions as to what is protected, which has been decided by the U.S. Supreme Court over time. If you cannot understand that, I'm sorry that your brain is so small.
