Asinine answers to
Atrocious actions
I think
We’d better be better than best
If we hope to beat these bastardly beasts
Who continue to cause chaos
And concede to committing crimes
With devout determination to destroy
Each and every envoy they encounter
These emissaries of evil
Emulating enlightenment

Forsaken and forgotten folklore
Found in this fantastic fantasia
By fanatical freaks
Good God grant us grace
How is he who is humble
To harvest harmony
If ignoble and ignorant idolaters
Join with jeering jesters
To jab and joke
Killing kindness and its kindred
Laying low lofty
Moments meant to
Make me much more than melancholy
No, no, no, not now
Nothing nags like nothing now

Oppressive opportunists
Obsess over owning others
Only to be overrun
By the people they planned to put in their pocket
Purged is their poison by the people
Pushed, pulled and put through profound pain
Quick now, quell your qualms
And find the quiet queen
Royalty; once rich, ripe and regal
Is now reduced to rash, resenting ruin
Stuck, stale and stopped
Suddenly a stoic stone statuary
And some say
Sacred stones should soon shatter

Time and time again
Trivial tripe trips the traps
Tangling and taunting
Talented travelers
Unaware of the undertow
Unforeseen and quite unknown
Until they are unable to be uplifted
And are unwilling to usurp
Their vague visions of victory
They become
Victims of vicious views
Vexed by vengeful venting
Veiled by a vast and violent void
When wondrously
Wanderers wend their way
Free

Thank you for the invitation. I haven't written anything recently, but I'll gladly bask in the glory of my past.

This is from 2002. It might be the best thing I wrote that year.

Do you write just for fun?

Yeah. Poetry was an outlet in high school, a hobby & passion for years after. I found myself writing the same thought over and again so I put it down and directed my passion for words in other directions.

Thanks for writing! Really do appreciate it when people keep this place creative n' shiiiieet

Gave up at X, eh?

Even with my thesaurus I could only come up with xenomorph & couldn't figure out how to work it in.
