Great song Carl, my foots a tappin.
Thank you so much, I appreciate the kind words
Hmm... That song sounds like it comes from experience.
There's pretty much never a better time to write music than after a breakup. If your heart feels like someone has ripped it out and ground it into the pavement under their heel, that's a good time to write some music.
This song took about 40 years to write. I found a good one about 40 years ago, and because I was being a butthole almost lost her. She stayed, I unbuttholed myself and we've been together since. True story
I can relate! Oh, man, can I relate!
It's a great song - album worthy, in fact. It just oozes of, "This is based on real events!"
It's also a song pretty much everyone on the planet can relate to. Regardless of the language they speak, if it was translated they'd relate. It'd be true in most cultures today.
Hmm... Hopefully, I'm able to host my 4th of July bash again soon. We even have a stage!
Great!
Some of my best originals have come during peak emotional times in my life. It's not universally true, but much of it has been done while emotional. This isn't true if I'm writing something like noe-classical metal. That requires a more methodical thought process and a greater attention to theory. But, if I'm writing some blues, the best time to do so is when I've got 'em.
Thanks so much CryptoBard, I very much appreciate the kind words.
Love the strings and vibes. Nice production.
