Awesome song, Carl...very nice orchestration!

[–] 1 pt

Thank you for the kind words

[–] 1 pt

Great song Carl, my foots a tappin.

[–] 1 pt

Thank you so much, I appreciate the kind words

[–] 1 pt

Hmm... That song sounds like it comes from experience.

There's pretty much never a better time to write music than after a breakup. If your heart feels like someone has ripped it out and ground it into the pavement under their heel, that's a good time to write some music.

[–] 2 pts

This song took about 40 years to write. I found a good one about 40 years ago, and because I was being a butthole almost lost her. She stayed, I unbuttholed myself and we've been together since. True story

[–] 0 pt

I can relate! Oh, man, can I relate!

It's a great song - album worthy, in fact. It just oozes of, "This is based on real events!"

It's also a song pretty much everyone on the planet can relate to. Regardless of the language they speak, if it was translated they'd relate. It'd be true in most cultures today.

Hmm... Hopefully, I'm able to host my 4th of July bash again soon. We even have a stage!

Great!

Some of my best originals have come during peak emotional times in my life. It's not universally true, but much of it has been done while emotional. This isn't true if I'm writing something like noe-classical metal. That requires a more methodical thought process and a greater attention to theory. But, if I'm writing some blues, the best time to do so is when I've got 'em.

[–] 1 pt

Thanks so much CryptoBard, I very much appreciate the kind words.

[–] 1 pt

Love the strings and vibes. Nice production.

Hi all, I hope everyone is enjoying the roly-coaster ride of life this week.

I rushed the mix on this, and it sounds like it. I apologize in advance if it grates on eardrums.

[–] 1 pt

Cool riff, but damn dude, your noise floor is amplifying the ceiling fan.

[–] 1 pt

That's really cool. I love that percussion throughout. I guess it's the opposite of I put a spell on you.

[–] 1 pt

the link does not work

[–] 1 pt

Sorry. Some retard had it set to "private", but it should work now.

[–] 1 pt

Love it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BRAVO Grandmacaesar

[–] 1 pt

That sounds awesome. There's nothing wrong with the mix that I hear. But Im all drunk and cranking this in a room ful or people talking, though I told them all to shut up when I played this and three other times as is was playing. I like it. I'm definitely going to listen again tomorrow when I can give it better attention.

But what if I don't want the spell to be broken.

pray for my son please. he needs good vibes

[–] 1 pt

Hello everyone. My buddy didn't come over and jam with me this past week, but I did have this here song pop into my head as I was falling off to sleep the other day so I wrote it all down quick before I fell to sleep and tried to play it and sing it while it was still in my head. Here is

[–] 2 pts

Man alive! That's a great song. The kind that would make any songwriter proud. Good melody and chords. You got yourself a hit on your hands there Crazy.

[–] 0 pt

Thanks! I appreciate that.

I am always afraid that it's some song already when it sounds like such a sweet melody like this one did

[–] 1 pt

Bird is the word.. well done Sir ... Evening Crazy

[–] 0 pt

Thank you Carl, Good to see you again! Hope everything is good in your world

[–] 1 pt

It is really good Crazy, I hope all is well in your corner of the world as well.

[–] 1 pt

Hi Crazy, I'll drop by in a little bit. I'm workin' on a new track right now.

[–] 1 pt

Beautiful song, and true! It makes me think of the years I spent in Harrison, Arkansas.

[–] 1 pt

Thanks. I don't know anything about Harrison Arkansas, is it a nice place?

[–] 1 pt

You can leave your car windows down in the Walmart parking lot with your phone, laptop, and handgun laid out on the dashboard, and

Fwiw the national headquarters of the KKK is in nearby Zinc (about 20 miles down some gravel roads).

[–] 1 pt

That strays from your usual sound. Interesting...

That bug still bugs me. I can't type while the song is playing.

[–] 0 pt

That bugs me too.

I love that riff though

[–] 1 pt

I do indeed like the riff.

I'm thinking about buying a couple of cheap guitars to see how much the cheap guitar industry has moved. Cheap guitars used to be unplayable messes, but some of 'em are supposedly pretty good.

"TheBuddha reviews cheap guitars!"

It'd be an interesting project. I assume I could just sell 'em for pretty much the exact thing I paid for them, though that does kinda go against my history of never selling a guitar. I don't really want a collection of cheap guitars. (I'm talking guitars priced $300 or lower.)

[–] 1 pt

I love the Johnny Cash and country stuff, but here's my shredwave song, it's older but I just redid the thumbnail.

[–] 1 pt

It sounded futuristic at first then it sound european, no matter, it rocked all the way through and it was on full blast here until the end!

Thanks for sharing!

[–] 1 pt

Thanks, I listened to tons of finish powermetal growing up, so that works.

[–] 0 pt

You're welcome!

Did you do all the music on that?

[–] 1 pt

DAMNED good Cryptobard, some mighty fine pickin.

[–] 1 pt

Some good woek tonight fellers. Enjoyed lisyening to everyone who posted. Like a bird was nice buddy sp was the sundown showdown.

[–] 1 pt

[–] 0 pt

Both of them!

[–] 0 pt

Here is a song I wrote a year or so ago that I think didn't get heard enough and I think it's awesome

[–] 0 pt

Hmm... I'm 90% sure I remember that song.

[–] 0 pt

Heard you are all fingering minors

[–] 0 pt

[–] 0 pt

[–] 0 pt

[–] 0 pt

[–] 1 pt

thanks ill have sneak into bed room i wanna do an acoustic tonight got run off for about hr then ill jam thank you again for the @ the acdc is great sounds spot on. wish i had a bass id record the bass line and send it over

[–] 0 pt

Nothing new, but something shared maybe only once before...

AC/DC's Highway to Hell:

https://share.fngt.gq/music/rock/classic/AC%20DC%20-%20Highway%20to%20Hell%28B%20%231%20%26%20%232%3B%20J%20B%3B%20TB%20P%29.mp3

That ought to rock you. If it doesn't, you're broken inside.

[–] 1 pt

Sounds great. Love this song. These guys are the greatest. Gonna sing along with this in my car and shit.

[–] 0 pt

It's hard not to sing along!

[–] 1 pt

Makes me want to break out my old Strat and pick along.

[–] 0 pt

Yeah, it's another relatable tune that everyone knows. It's not particularly challenging, but it is rewarding. Plus, enough musicians are familiar with the song so that you can pull it out in a jam session and sound reasonably good. Heck, you can pull it off un-rehearsed as an encore or something and nobody will realize you didn't practice it as a group.

[–] 1 pt

Great job! I was supposed to see those guys back in 1980, but Bon choked to death on his vomit and the tour got cancelled.

[–] 1 pt

Yeah, that'll cancel a tour. I got the chance to see them a few times. They were pretty good, about what you'd expect. They sounded a lot like they did on their albums.

[–] 1 pt

Cool karaoke version.

[–] 1 pt

That's pretty much what we do when we do full tracks. This one wouldn't pass (my) muster for karaoke, as there are a few mistakes.

By the way, if you ever want to check if someone's cheating, you can just open tracks in Audacity and examine the spectrogram.

[–] 2 pts

I love using the spectrograph, I watch it on my master mix (DAW is reaper) before I release each song just to get an idea of what's going on.

I was thinking about doing a happy merchant reverse spectrogram and hiding it in a track.

[–] 0 pt

Nobody gonna slow me down! I'm on a highway to, umm, im not going to hell! No fucking way! I am the master of the universe.

Hell is not in my plans. Hell with that!

[–] 0 pt

LOL Not me... Assuming such exists (and I do not make such assumptions), I'm definitely destined to go to hell.

And I'm okay with that. The only people who have to care about religion are those that follow the religion. The sooner they realize that the better. If your religion doesn't allow you to get drunk or gamble, then it's up to you to not do those things. It doesn't mean I can't do 'em. I don't follow your religion, so it doesn't apply to me.

Either way, if hell existed I'd be destined to go.

[–] 0 pt

See I don't think I am. Maybe that's my narcissisms or wishful thinking but I really don't think I have hurt anyone enough to earn hell. I just have fun and spread joy and love!
