Buy a large stick of peppermint.

Open a bottle of whisky - pour about 1/4 into another bottle.

Into the original bottle, place as much of the peppermint as will fit without overflowing.

Allow peppermint to dissolve.

Take a couple of tablespoons when needed.

Yup. Most people don't know that's how Immodium ad works. It contains an opiate receptor agonist which tightens things up so to say.

You know what would always happen to me when I did codeine syrup? I would feel good. Of course. Then I would smoke weed. Then like a bomb went off. I would get super super light headed and tunnel vision and I would lose my hearing for a few seconds. A strong ringing like a grenade went off in my face.
