Interestingly the manufacturer TOM EVANS who sent the amp to Mark for repair has now sued him for copyright. Not sure what Mark copied as all he did was repair the amp. Anyway, seems TOM EVANS has dug himself even a deeper hole…

"Audiophile" grade shit is always designed to fleece the unwary of their dollars. This is a phono preamp, You can run something like a phono preamp from a couple of 9V batteries, and it is supposed to do nothing more than provide a corrected curve output at a higher level. No power out, no nothing, it probably wastes more power in the supply than the actual preamp needs to function correctly.

Mark probably got sued because he wasn't supposed to show the world that the device is nothing more than a preamp with too much crap. If the "manufacturer" can't repair it I would assume they don't know anything about it and are just buying someone else's garbage. The curtain has been pulled back on the charlatan wizard and they didn't like that. The mystique is you common plebs don't know what's in it, full of unicorn jizz and furry desperation.

One vendor who years ago sold expensive exotic, esoteric, hand made “audio transmission line” cables gave advice recently about wiring high end audio into new construction and he said to “just use Romex”.

Romex is awesome cable, pure solid copper. It's good for what ails you.

lol I saw the video before that snake oil charlatan got it taken down.

I slapped my forehead when I saw the inside of it. I imagined it would be crappy, but not to that extent.

Videos about this kind of stuff just make me angry. It's the equivalent of slapping 8 transistors in an output circuit back in the 60s so you can claim your shit tier regen-reflex radio has more transistors than others.

The sites are long gone, but I remember things from the 90s like brass cones you can put under your CD player to improve the bitrate and paint for op-amps that improves the "sonic transparency" of the output.

Barnum sits upon his throne of not-quite lies and laughs. So many suckers he can't keep track of them.
