The real question is why does the word trebled even exist when we already have Tripled?

Someone is trying to sound "smart". It is not tripled, treble is a music term so they are saying that it is at it's HIGHEST point in the past decade.

They need better copy editors since if that is the intent, the title is wrong. Maybe whoever wrote it intended to say tripled but they are half retarded. It is a news article after all.

Ah ok, I guess I should have looked it up too. American English is a fucked up language that often makes little sense.

We even have "rules" that no one knew they were a rule until someone started to study it and found that we just use them. I may try to find that article since it was a interesting read.

The number of faggots has not likely increased, however the number of people "identifying" as faggots has. This is because they are narcissists and are taking advantage of the degenerate fad of "Queer" based identity Marxism to virtue signal and fulfill their need for narcissistic supply.

Normal people find faggotry disgusting (it evokes a disgust response, similar to seeing rotten meat), but for the most part they don't care if someone is a faggot as long as they aren't shoving it in your face or parading it in front of children.
