To be fair we sometimes take absolute positions on issues that vary internally base on the intentions behind them. You could say capitalism would work if there were present morals and a code of honor that would restrain big fishes from completely destroy societal ecosystems for the sake of extra profit or terminating their competition thus making giant monopolies. You could say socialism would work if the help from the state were focused towards helping those who were down on their luck will still working for the betterment of the individual (rigor, sense of patriotism etc...) instead of the current aid that is given to promote hateful and ignorant doctrines to fit the agenda of (((some))). Always remember that the intentions behind the doctrines sometimes make all the difference in the outcome.
Yes, collectivism works on a small scale where all the participants consent and there is an external doctrine guiding the application of the system.
