I am not for all of the ranchy degen games but the big problem is if you can force those to be banned you can force everything you don't like to be banned too. How long until "activist groups" go after Visa and Mastercard (AGAIN) and try to get things like realistic guns/gore/etc banned in games?

From the post:

>In the wake of storefronts like Steam and itch.io curbing the sale of adult games, irate fans have started an organized campaign against the payment processors that they believe are responsible for the crackdown. While the movement is still in its early stages, people are mobilizing with an eye toward overwhelming communication lines at companies like Visa and Mastercard in a way that will make the concern impossible to ignore. On social media sites like Reddit and Bluesky, people are urging one another to get into contact with Visa and Mastercard through emails and phone calls. Visa and Mastercard have become the targets of interest because the affected storefronts both say that their decisions around adult games were motivated by the danger of losing the ability to use major payment processors while selling games. These payment processors have their own rules regarding usage, but they are vaguely defined. But losing infrastructure like this could impact audiences well beyond those who care about sex games, spokespeople for Valve and itch.io said.

I notice the one thing they don't mention is actually voting with their money. Why not vote with their wallets and start asking valve to accept bitcoin or some kind of crypto instead, or also outside of credit card companies just start using cash for as many things as possible and shop at places that offer discounts for cash payment. They could also file complaints with the DOJ and their Anti Trust department here: https://www.justice.gov/atr/financial-services-fintech-and-banking-section But what do they do? whine and scream to the sky like pussy hat wearing idiots.

They already go after activist groups and cutting them off from payment processors. I am quite surprised that they are censoring adult games or porn at all. I thought the tribe promoted that shit and last I checked, they also own the banks too.

It's a method of control and corruption. By going "I'm cutting your supply off" they get people clamoring for it back, solidifying "that thing" (Porn, in this case) as something one needs. Then they can also turn and go "See, these filthy animals WANT to have degeneracy shoveled into their mouths" and so on.
