This has been found to be the case near universally. They're in airports where enormous slabs of concrete absorb and retain heat and by machinery etc. They're never in an open grassland meadow.

Yeah, there was another post about this a few weeks/ months ago (??). The majority of US weather sensors, something like 7 out 10, are all (deliberately) placed at airports , and are subjected to continual hot aircraft exhaust and the bias of the concrete infrastructure heat sink. Here in NZ in my town . We have two (as part of the national weather reporting system) One is located at the airport (lol) - and the other is at the botanical garden.
EDIT. Most 'scientists likely dont even consider where the apparatus is placed, only the readings'. Plus the post also showed that modern electronic temperature sensors have been shown to be inaccurate by as much as 2 degrees the hotter it becomes and on average by 0.7 degrees overall, Compared to old school mercury ones. Thats your climate change - inaccurate readings at overtly heat bias recording spots
