Normally I would never suggest watching a show on HBO because they are degenerate like the rest of the viewing platforms, but this is a little different.

The Chosen is a TV series that brings to life the stories from the bible with some accuracy and some artistic flair. This show is interesting because it was made by the same company that did Sound of Freedom, and it was crowd funded. This show has received more donation through crowd funding than any other show that has been crowd funded.

In the Bible it says that anything that is added or taken away from the Bible gets you a first class ticket to hell. I do not see this as an addition to the bible, they do not claim it is the bible or an addition to it. I find it interesting to see the storylines in the Bible laid out in chronological order.

I was just talking about this series the other day. Passion of the Christ: resurrection sounds monumental.

I heard Passion of the Christ is pretty good! I havnt seen it because I can get squeemish about them slaughtering our Lord like that, though I know it is an important moment and nearly the whole point.

It earns that rated r... the scene of the flogging is barbaric. It made me wince more than a bit. I would say skipping the flogging after it begins would not be a bad idea. Watching it for me probably was more of a minor OCD thing.
