On Saturday, the Denver Police Department said officers made 17 protest-related arrests for charges including resisting arrest, obstruction of streets, failure to obey a lawful order and unlawful throwing of projectiles. Just after 11:30 a.m. Sunday, the department updated that number to 34 protest-related arrests and one related to an outstanding warrant out of Delta County.
Police also said one juvenile was detained and released after being cited.
DPD estimates that the majority of protesters left after the planned "No Kings" event ended at around 4 p.m. Saturday. The department added that the marches and demonstrations were peaceful, and that it believes "a separate group of people were protesting last night when the arrests occurred."
