The Federal Heights Police Department posted on Facebook Thursday that the incident is in the area of West 90th Avenue and North Federal Boulevard. Shots were fired just after 2 p.m., according to the police department. Police requested medical aid immediately after the exchange of gunfire. Two of the three people inside the suspect vehicle were transported to a local hospital, and at about 6:45 p.m., the police department said that one of the individuals “died from injuries sustained in the incident.” The agency did not say if the injuries were from gunshots, but said the individual who died will be identified by the Adams County Coroner’s Office after notifying their next of kin.
