I would genuinely like to know the depth of your knowledge regarding the history of conservation efforts. You seem very passionate about it, but if "tragedy of the commons" was a new concept, that surprises me.
I'm not going to tip my hand too far, but I have some conservation work under my belt and just like to see where folks are coming from. Probably more in common than not on the subject...
Of course the tragedy of the commons is not a new concept for me, I just think Hardin's paper is worth a read for those who still have the patience to stick to an 11 page document. Did you, or have you, actually read it?
I also have a bit of 'conservation work under my belt' but this is an anonymous internet forum and I decided against doxxing myself long ago.
