That would be a cool frame design to build out of glue-laminated wood. No need for 3D printing to make it, a few jigs to make the curves of varying radii would do.
Putting a roof on it might be a challenge though, corrugated iron might work, but you'd need a pretty sophisticated CNC forming and bending machine to make panels that would match up. I'm not sure how (or if) they have made their version water tight? Perhaps if the donut shape was made with a cathedral roof curve, it would be easier to put some sort of roof on it, maybe slate? But the flat top makes that tricky.
