I had it a few weeks ago (not vaxxed). Was sick for about a day. Munched on a shit ton of Vitamin C and some other shit (Quercitin, NAC, Zinc, etc). Still have a bit of a cough, but it was no worse than any other cold/flu. My son had it (he's 5) and was sick for about a day.
My manager has it now, he's fully jabbed (and has been getting treatment for cancer, likely as a result. Probably Hodgkin's Lymphoma from what I can figure out). Will see how he goes with it. His wife has it and it's apparently kicking the shit out of her. Interestingly, my manager took an average of 3 days off following each jab, so he's already been more sick than me before even getting it. It's at least the second, maybe third time he's got COVID too.
They're pushing the fear (again) to try and get people to take the boosters. But people are starting to put 2 and 2 together. Even my mother in law has realized her current health predicament is very likely due to the jab (she took 4). She goes into surgery today with stage 4 ovarian cancer.
The health authorities will NEVER admit that they fucked up. They are pot committed now. It's been obvious for years that they fucked up and they keep doubling down on the "safe and effective". They all need to be disbanded entirely, the leaders hanged in the public square and their remains gibbetted at the edge of town until the flesh falls from the bone. This, of course, will never happen. The ones responsible will continue to pretend that they did nothing wrong, and most people will just ignore it.
Interestingly, my missus caught up with some of her uni friends recently. They had no recollection of the lockdowns (in Victoria, so we had basically the longest and most strict lockdowns in the world). These people have seemingly been using the principles of INGSOC to erase the memory of things which no longer fit the narrative. She had to remind them that I was unable to enter almost all shops for a significant length of time. These people seem to have forgotten that they were under effective house arrest for months, allowed out only for an hour a day and not permitted to travel more than 5km from their homes. If people have already forgotten this, we're doomed to repeat it, or even worse. Fucking short memories.
Good to hear it was just a cold. That's what mine was, a cold. Wasn't a pleasant one by any means, but it passed.
The rest of the people you described? Your MIL is unusual in that she's seen the light, or at least a glimmer. Everyone else is going to keep on keeping on taking the stuff until they wake up dead of the Suddenlies one crisp Tuesday morning.
