If you were a celebrity, you would have agents and producers and publicists and lawyers, all telling you that you can't say this or that, because it would cause others to lose their jobs. And they would also be telling you that you can't say this or that because *you would lose money* and maybe destroy your own career, and cease to be a celebrity. It takes massive balls to be in this position -- of, say, a J. K. Rowling -- and stand by what you said without apologizing. Massive balls that hypocrites like Stephen King don't need, because there is no danger of them ever speaking the truth.
