needs a tray for the ice to sit on elevating it above the bottom so the air would have to travel through the ice before escaping through the vent. Not that I've imagined how to build something like this before or anything.

Funny thing is the ice was made by rejecting heat INTO the house by the ice maker. That heat is being remedied by both the A/C and this contraption. Initial instinct is that this isn't as great as it looks

But if you use the redneck A/C in a separated room, it's a valid exchange, heat the rest of the house to have some comfort in your room. Well, this is what we do with our A/Cs.
