I've never understood toilet paper shortages. It's a commodity that is used at a fairly predictable rate, people don't start shitting significantly more. It is made from a feed stock that grows over an extended period (trees) which are planted and harvested at a steady rate. It is made in largely automated factories, it's production does not require a large workforce, so is not particularly susceptible to shortages of labor, or constraints of worker density.

So, why are there toilet paper shortages all over the world, often for no apparent reason. One possibility is that it is a powerful psychological tool. People "need" toilet paper (not really, but they feel like they need it and will panic at even the prospect of running out). So, if you want to send a wave of anxiety through a community, just create a shortage of toilet paper. People will see the empty shelves and amplify that in their minds.... those shelves being empty is a portent of all the other shelves being empty soon. This tool can be used to create free floating anxiety in a community, one of the necessary pre-conditions for mass formation psychosis. A "solution" to some perceived problem, probably unrelated to toilet paper, will be offered, that will inevitably involve people surrendering their rights to a more powerful government. It's ALL about power.

I think the scumbag elites do garbage like this because it's funny to them as they watch the frightened ants scurry about.

In troubled times, people eat less, so they'll use less paper. Especially for women who currently use it like it's a necessary ingredient to life.

The idea of not having toilet paper scares people because it puts them out of their comfort zone. Part of their world is always having toilet paper, whenever they need it, and I mean always. Without fail. The idea that it might not be there is disturbing to people. If you run out of one food you can eat something else, but toilet paper is toilet paper. It's a constant in their lives.

That's why it's such a powerful tool to use to induce anxiety, if not panic. Even rumors of shortages of toilet paper cause people to become anxious.

Imagine what people did before toilet paper was invented. The idea that this causes panic in the sheep is astounding.

KEK. Yea, I'm stocking up on solar panels, batteries, water, food, weapons, fuel and other essentials. Toilet paper is a much lower priority.

I lived in the middle east for awhile in my 20's. What they do over there is use a kitchen sprayer to clean themselves after using the bathroom.

They also have toilet paper, but with the sprayer, you come out so much cleaner and use less tp. Sometimes you don't need any tp. They may be inbred, but at least a few of their ideas are great.

I guess it depends on the country, because in certain Middle East countries they just take a shit on the sidewalk. Actually it was the same in many Albanian cities a few years ago (maybe it still is). I think it is quite common in muslim countries.

I honestly don't know how you would use that without it getting all over your ass.

You want the water all over your ass, not the spigot. At first it can be tricky to figure out, where to point the sprayer, how much pressure to use, etc. Once you get it down though it works really well and in my opinion it's cleaner than using your hand covered in paper to wipe.

that doesnt sound great to me

I live where toilet paper is made, the factories work around the clock if there is any shortage it is artificially induced

I think that most supply line problems are by design.

See?

Toilet paper $$$, there's a thing about it

each German citizen uses an average of 134 rolls of toilet paper per year.

What!?

That's more than a roll every three days!

As for me I'm not worried, I'll find the nearest Biden supporter and shit on their doorstep, then wipe my ass on their lawn.

[–] 1 pt

I just don't wipe, problem solved...

[–] 1 pt

It's the women factor. Women use toilet paper for a million things. And they apparently use as much wiping after they pee as they do after crapping. Without women, a roll would last weeks.

I once saw a redneck repurpose an old lawn sprayer of some sort into a makeshift bidet.

I want to know how the fuck they are using a roll of TP every 2.7 days.

each German citizen uses an average of 134 rolls of toilet paper per year.

[–] 1 pt

lol, that's a fair question!

I wouldn't be surprised if some German newspaper blamed the situation on Greece like they did recently with the refrigerators.
