>Holidaymakers hoping for some September sunshine in France are being warned to brace for a 24-hour strike by the country's biggest air traffic control union. Millions of travellers could see their plans severely disrupted if the walk-out by Syndicat majoritaire des contrôleurs aériens (SNCTA), which is set to take place from the morning of September 18th to the end of the night shift on the 19th, goes ahead. SNCTA represents more than half of France's air traffic controllers and in a statement released this week, the union said it had failed to reach an agreement with France’s Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC), calling discussions 'fruitless'.
