On October 25, 2011, Allison Jennifer Griffor was asleep when someone began kicking the front door of her family's home. Her father went to investigate, but before he could open it, a shotgun blast came through the door. The shot injured Allison's father, and part of it hit the 5-year-old girl in the head, killing her. Authorities believe Phillip Moses, Franklin Glover, Shyrome Johnson, and Levell Grant abandoned their attempt to break in after realizing they were targeting the wrong house; Allison and her family had moved into the home only three months before. According to her family, "Allison was an amazing person with silly, fun, bubbly, loving life all around her... She was a leader and an artist. She would sit for periods and color with the seriousness of a doctor in surgery. She was an awesome sister to her two brothers and always did everything with them."
