Sadly, flat earthers are profoundly stupid. It's difficult to stress the stupidity of flat earthers in words.
I like that flat earthers exist. Not because they are right, but because I'd rather people question authority too much rather than too little. And you can engage in dialog with someone who questions authority rather than trusts it blindly. Flat earthers are good people, just misguided. Just because (((they))) lie to us, doesn't mean (((they))) lie about everything. That's the mistake flat earthers make.
I largely agree. But the trick is the distinction between earnest ignorance and willful propaganda feigning as the first.
Most (all?) Of the flat earthers here are the second. They have no desire to learn or discuss. It's all a couched web in which to assert propaganda.
As you, I enjoy discussion with the ignorant who simply need help finding the road. But I'm honestly not aware of any such people here on poal. Which means the topic becomes a good test to identify shills or zealot useful idiots and small intellectuals.
Not a bad way to look at it.
