I lived in Germany when I was younger in the Army. Ate haxe at fests all the time. Its the best.

Used to be really cheap in Germany.

If you find it in the States it's usually pretty expensive. Way over priced for the pork knuckle cut.

Never tried making it at home. Might have b to give this a go.

It was certainly more expensive than the cut of meat justifies, but it does seem like there is a fair amount of preparation involved.
