gotta keep them retards on the plantation or the whole system collapses
I have a recent observation:
I went to the grocery store a couple of days ago.
The list price of everything is way up.
However, everything is also on sale.
When all is said and done, the price was the same as last time.
So what gives?
Yes shipments are disrupted, yes supply is intermittent. Certain items are out of stock.
Yes they have labor shortages. Trucking is especially very tight indeed.
However, they also killed a lot of people. Crippled even more. Labor shortages... you don't say.
We don't know the true numbers, but they have to be high. Ambulance is still going 24/7. Now you notice when you don't hear it instead of when you do. Quiet so far this morning.
I suspect there's a lot less buyers of the food that is coming in.
That causes deflation to offset the inflation. Less supply, but also less demand. They price for expected demand, based on historical demand. They printed trillions of new dollars and gave them away to boost demand. Yet it is just not there.
I suspect the sales volume is down 10% or more in terms of physical quantity sold. Probably because they have 10% less people entering the store.
That's why everything is on sale, and it's not from the generosity of their hearts.
They are panicking.
That much is obvious.
