I’ve heard fire is a great threat to these vehicles and the crews inside and outside. Yet I haven’t seen any yet.

You haven't seen any fire because the protesters are trying to be peaceful and lawful, so that they don't let the mainstream media present them as 'dangerous rioters' (which is what eventually happens anyway).
