I have had 1 guitar for 18 years and it plays better than anything I've tried in the last decade due to tinkering with it.

I'd only upgrade to a 7 string multiscale or something else like that if I had the option.

Or maybe a true temperament guitar, but those are a cunt to refret so meh.

You only have the one?

yes

You are a guitarist unicorn. I do not know a single other guitarist who owns just one.

I tend to do the same thing. The guitar I've got on my workbench right now has been my main one for over a decade and the one I had before that (also still own and may have enough parts now to put it back together) I bought twenty years ago. I've had quite a few others but they were beater guitars I bought for cheap and they never really had much to say. Amps on the other hand... I'm at the point of designing and building my own. I do miss my '68 super reverb though.

I had about 80 (30 years ago). Now I am down to 15. If I were rich I would have thousands. I...cannot explain why.

Is not! I only have like 14 guitars!

HAHA, I HAVE 15! HAHAHAHA!

I haven't counted recently. What sorta guitars are you into? I used to be a Gibson guy but now have learned to appreciate Fender style stuff.

I'm all over the place. Electrics only. Mostly SG and Jaguar/Jazzmaster/Strat types. Too bad I'm usually tired from working..

Is guitar acquisition like gun acquisition?

[–] 2 pts

There are some similarities, yes.

I think so. It's a myth spread by faggots and losers who can't afford to buy guns and guitars.

i had that for a while but grew out of it. it was fun. i have a bunch of nice equipment to pass on to my kids.

Just because I have tens of guns and guitars does not mean I have a problem.

Actually I do. If I bring home another guitar or gun my wife will kill me.

You know the old saying. "I hope when I die my wife doesn't sell my guns/guitars for what I told her I paid for them."
