Absolutely. It's amazing how much further you can get just by acting like a professional.
In the music industry, it's often forgotten. I've had numerous folks say stuff like, "What?" When asked about paying taxes.
It ends up similar to: "Well, if you had a coffee shop, would you pay taxes?" To which they say yes. You can ask them why and they'll say it's because it's a business. What makes it a business? It earns income, or is designed to. So, how the hell do they not realize that applies to a band?!?

Many people especially ones who have cash businesses don’t pay taxes. I know construction guys who have never filed and live in 250k homes. They slip through the cracks. It’s honestly amazing.
