With all of the shortages and pointless sanctions going on, I at least hoped my amps would have been unaffected.

Thanks for the heads up. Luckily I threw new TungSols in a few months ago.

This all occurred right after I placed the order for a Gold Lion KT-66... One of them shipped but I doubt I'm going to get the other one. Time to build that solid state amp I've had on the back burner for awhile, I guess.

Damn. You thinking of just a headphone amp or something bigger? I once built an amp using parts laying around but RF interference was a bit of a problem; I'll leave amp building to the pros. Don't let me discourage you though! I'm just sharing.

I have a few designs for guitar amps that I'm fleshing out and I was about to start a business after they matured, but it looks like I will be altering my short term strategy or holding off until the market is more favorable towards small businesses (HA!). I've considered building something in the Hi-Fi market but I really am out of my element in that market.

I have a handful of tubes I need to get at hamfests this summer. Mostly 6C6 and a few type 80, that should last me the rest of my life.

Yeah I'm making an inventory of what I have on hand. I inherited a plethora of radio and TV tubes from my grandpa but I haven't tested any of them so who knows if they are good or not. Fine time to try and start a tube amp build/repair business but at least the amp I'm building currently allows for a multitude of octal power tubes to be used.

In for the rash of blown up amps due to tubes from wish.com. This attempted canceling of Russia is the dumbest fukken thing ever.

Due to overwhelming positive response from the music community, Western Electric is to start manufacturing tubes here in the US.

Well hot damn! Just sent them a message and filled out the survey. I was hoping this would drive manufacturing back to the states.
