It was better you are correct but it was even better before the war. It is my lived experience that the 50 years of communism was caused, by Germany invading sovereign countries and that life was better before, muh nAzis or commies. My home country of Czechoslovakia was doing fantastic before the war. We did not ask for nor did we want, need or deserve German occupation and the treacherous actions of nato.
