>So it was all of a sudden, so I couldn’t even dodge or anything

Well thank goodness, you didn't get to swerve into another car or anything. I can't tell you how many people I've seen die swerving for animals. Hit the brakes, stay straight. The worst accident scene I have ever been on was some jackass that swerved to miss a deer and hit a pickup truck head on and killed both drivers and one passenger. The deer walked away. I've also seen plenty of people swerve off the road and slam into trees and telephone poles to miss animals. Plenty of them died. It's very frustrating for me.

Shit in Texas its an everyday thing.

Ive seen the videos of them trapping/killing them. Everyone always complain "why do you have to do that".

They don't get it. They are an invasive species in the area and ruin the environment for all of the native species.

Then they argue, "Why don't you eat them at least". Im not familiar but apparently the older they get the worse they taste? Maybe you would know being down in TX.

If shtf I would eat anything, but most who eat them trap them and then feed them before eating. I go to work in the dark to get shit done and see them on the road, its a hazard.

You know, they could solve this, and other problems VERY easily.

Advertise an open season to mainlanders. Free open season. Get a few plane loads of Texans. Loose their gun control bullshit on these hunters. Have the sweep the island from one end to the other. Shoot the boars (and deer....Hawaii has imported deer as well, they've evolved to be smaller, but they're still a nuisance) and let them stay where they fall.

Now, 2nd wave for the younger hunters. Let them follow up with pellet guns and take out the rats and mongoose.

Any locals that want to follow and gather free meat, have at it.
