But they lived in harmony with the environment and shat rainbows while singing Disney songs...

Couldn't be that they moved like locusts from place to place while decimating the local resources. That would be racist.

Wait people thought savages were innocent?

People read texts written by early european settlers. The authors describe the indigenous as 'savages' just as you said. Somehow people read what their ancestors observed and assume, 'oh no that just proves early settlers were bigots'. No wonder history repeats.

It's funny, innit? People saw a modern version of them, washed with a semblance of civility and thought, "how could our ancestors be so cruel?" People are starting to learn that it wasn't so much cruel as very accurate.

Today that would be the work of one serial killer.

Native-American civilizations, no differently than other pre-Christian civilizations, were well known to engage in infanticide even after the Spanish arrived and began to conquer the indigenous population. Just as in the case of this article, much of what the Spanish reported observing of native-American peoples was indeed the truth and not racist, as useful idiot leftoids and their counter cultural rebel masters try to badger people into believing.

Most likely, the development of settled bronze age civilization prompted the r-selected segment of the population to develop mal-adapted psychologies to ease and resource abundance. They then saw infanticide as an expedient means of ensuring that resource abundance in the event of drought or famine. I can't imagine the pain these people put themselves through by denying the reality that one cannot control the world.

Notice anything they share with those eco-kooks who constantly talk about ?
