[Francis] Bellamy was a Christian socialist[1] who "championed 'the rights of working people and the equal distribution of economic resources, which he believed was inherent in the teachings of Jesus.'"[9]

Lots of sources have talked about this over the years. Mostly because socialists love to spout their beliefs publicly, saying shit like cops, firemen and even snowplows prove America is already socialist, so just embrace government control of all aspects of your life — The Great Reset in operation.

Interestingly there is no evidence at all that the Romans ever saluted in this manner. It seems to be drawn entirely from French classical artists, particularly David, painting Romans saluting in this way in the 18th century that has led to this widely held misconception. And it was another French artist, Gerome, who gave the world the misconception that thumbs down signalled the death of gladiator, when in fact the opposite was true.

Gee, I wonder what's so wrong about Fascism? Oh, how I wish someone wiser than I would opine...

https://www.theblaze.com/news/2013/07/04/one-nation-under-god-the-odd-complex-and-socialist-history-behind-the-pledge-of-allegiance:

"One NPR article written last year goes as far as to label Bellamy a “fascist preacher.” Here’s how the article framed the faith leader and his outlook -- one that would surely turn off most conservative Americans:

Francis Bellamy was a minister who was thrown out of his Baptist post because of sermons describing Jesus as a socialist. He and novelist cousin Edward Bellamy both saw a future for the United States as a country in which the government controlled virtually every aspect of a person's life.

Francis Bellamy (who also wrote for a magazine underwritten by flag sales and therefore stood to gain by having schools require a flag salute each day) and his friends got President Benjamin Harrison to incorporate Bellamy's pledge into the 400th anniversary celebration of Columbus' arrival in the New World. It has been recited in public schools ever since."

Hitler stole the salue and eugenics from the U.S. and the death camps from the Armenian genocide in Turkey during WW1.
