https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cecil_Rhodes#South_Africa "He entered the diamond trade at Kimberley in 1871, when he was 18, and, thanks to funding from Rothschild & Co, began to systematically buy out and consolidate diamond mines. Over the next two decades he gained near-complete domination of the world diamond market, forming a massive monopoly. His diamond company De Beers, formed in 1888, retained its prominence into the 21st century.

Financed by N M Rothschild & Sons, Rhodes succeeded over the next 17 years in buying up all the smaller diamond mining operations in the Kimberley area.

His monopoly of the world's diamond supply was sealed in 1890 through a strategic partnership with the London-based Diamond Syndicate. They agreed to control world supply to maintain high prices"

Aren't diamonds no rarer than quartz?

Edit:I meant to say turquoise....

ultra common but retards eat it up because the guy on TV said it was expensive

Rare doesn't matter, oil isn't rare but it's valuable. How much does a bottle of water cost? It's one of the most abundant resources on the planet.

If you're going to buy a girl a diamond buy from a Swiss broker and have it put in a custom setting. If you would expect her to buy you a Swiss watch for your anniversary

if u buy bottled water at a stadium or Disney Land, it's $20 because ..monopoly. Like owning both boardwalk & park place.

Artificial diamonds are superior in every way and in most any color. DeBeers had GE shut down the technology. Superior man made diamonds would have sold for pennies on the dollar.

Oil has intrinsic value. Diamonds only have industrial value. Everything else is artificial supply quotas, marketing, and low IQ buyers.

Giant diamond tipped saw blades cost 4 figures, but I don't know if that's just because it's low quantity production for special use case.

Yes. Diamonds are very common and not a precious gem. During the rise of Hollywood starlets Jews used them to begin pushing diamonds on the public. Previous to this, jewelry of value rarely used diamonds. Suddenly they were in demand outside of industrial use.

This whole, twice your salary, thing is more jew marketing.

Apartheid is Jews forcing black slavery.

DeBeers at one point had the world's largest private army to control their slaves.

In short, if you love someone, you're ethically bound to not buy diamonds. Which are worthless anyways.

The worst thing goy ever did was leave the simple gold band and demand our young men go indebted to the diamond industry. Goy men and women should have got woke in the 1960’s and none of today’s mess would be happening.

At least 90% of women can't tell the difference between a diamond or a CZ. Or they just don't care and want something sparkly for their ring finger.
