Some of the materials were milled at Battelle in Columbus.

Worked with a guy that had worked there for a while. He was a machinist. Turns out the mill he worked with was one of the units that had been assigned to the Manhattan project. These were supposedly destroyed and buried in a filled concrete vault, but this one particular device had escaped destruction. No one was sure how, but it resulted in a multiple-person lawsuit against the company.

He had thyroid cancer from that machine 20 years ago, suspect he's dead now.
