I remember when they banned chewing gum after a couple of kids put it on one of the timed and synchronized MRT door sensors and shut the entire islands MRT down. They cained some kids for tagging some cars, and gave an Aussie death penalty for bringing in a small amount of pot. I don't know if they ever executed him or if the aussie gov saved him, but it was a big deal in the late 80's
