Silverio Villegas-Gonzalez was an undocumented immigrant with a history of reckless driving. Immigration Customs Enforcement agents attempted to stop his car, but he resisted. Villegas-Gonzalez reportedly drove his car into the arrest team and hit an agent, dragging him 'a significant distance with his car' as he tried to flee the scene, per NBC. Another agent shot the suspect in response. A spokesperson said he was 'fearing for his life.' Both the injured agent and Villegas-Gonzalez were transported to the hospital. Villegas-Gonzalez was pronounced dead on arrival.
