When I see those nose rings it automatically fills me with an instinct to punch for center face. I don't have instincts of violence towards women, but that nose ring just overrides any instincts of non-violence I have. I have to fight the urge constantly.
It just hits that sweet spot of uncanny valley where I basically don't see them as human anymore, more than any other piercing, and my instinct is to kill it with fire.
