Man, That is fucking gay. I am so fucking tired of companies that get away with using "dark patterns". I already personally refuse to use companies that do that crap but it needs to be in law that if I can sign up in a browser/app I can just as easily cancel in the browser/app.

From the post:

>A federal appeals court today struck down a "click-to-cancel" rule that would have required companies to make cancelling services as easy as signing up. The Federal Trade Commission rule was scheduled to take effect on July 14 but was vacated by the US Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit. A three-judge panel ruled unanimously that the Biden-era FTC, then led by Chair Lina Khan, failed to follow the full rulemaking process required under US law. "While we certainly do not endorse the use of unfair and deceptive practices in negative option marketing, the procedural deficiencies of the Commission's rulemaking process are fatal here," the ruling said.

I forget the name of it, but there is a company that you link a credit card to, and then they issue new credit card numbers on demand with their own expiry dates etc, and you can custom label them: Gym membership Phone bill Electric bill Etc

Each one is a virtual card that acts like a redirect link and charges your actual credit card. When you get sick of a company and don't want to pay them any more, you just delete the virtual card and they can't charge you any more.

Its privacy.com I use it for a lot of things to make sure I can set limits or use a one-time-card especially for a site that "feels sketchy". Not that I have had to use it much for that. It is just that sometimes a vendor seems like they might be out of business or kind of crap.

Sounds like it should be an easy fix
