Even something like Debian would be a major pain in the ass for mid-level Windows users until they got over the learning curve. And the average daily user? Forget it. Know why windows 10 and 11 force updates on people? Because they're too fucking stupid to understand the concept of performing their own updates, so nanny MS has to do it for them. You think these people could figure out how to flash a thumb drive, install an OS, and configure a desktop that isnt static? Fucking Chromebooks are too hard for these users.
