I don't think that "corruption" is the right word. They do now have power over anything other than people who are dumb enough to trust them. Corruption has more to do with abusing a trusted position of power. You could say that parts of the government are corrupt and uses the media to carry out that corruption, then it would be correct; but the media companies are simply (((propaganda))).
