European lefties despise Israel. It’s particularly pronounced in Ireland because the IRA types see parallels between the jewish colonisation of Palestine and the British colonisation of Ireland. It’s pretty funny up north, cos a lot of the nationalist areas fly Palestinian flags to show solidarity, so the unionists fly Israeli flags just to show they oppose everything the nationalists support. It’s a wonder the place is such a shithole with such a mature level of political discourse on display.
