I would use ear plugs and a box fan to produce white noise. This is how I master the reality of sleeping at night somewhere with the potential for noise. I wouldn't worry about stray bullets, especially during an hour you're lying down in your bedroom, but if you're still concerned I recommend brick housing.

Try going out and asking them politely to keep it down. I find most people are reasonable and good and they're willing to work with you when it comes to noise violations.

One thing I notice about the reddit Charlotte crowd is this --- if it is a majority Black event event, that's vibrant and somewhat rowdy--- you guys want it shut down (e.g. CIAA, The Epic Center).
The only thing you all are okay with is another brewery where people stand around and talk to each other all night. Yet, complain about the lack of culture all day long.
You all really need to stop this. Most of us on reddit are educated, and especially in Charlotte, most of us have significant salaries - we pay the taxes and we have massive influence as a group in this city. You guys don't even recognize it, but you are stifling what Charlotte can become.
Just because it's majority Black - it's loud and vibrant - hips shaking and booming bass - curly hair and smells of hair grease --- these things do not necessarily equal dangerous. Wake up.
