That's wrong. Or maybe just colloquially accepted now, because of stupid people. Just like "literally" doesn't mean "literally" anymore.

It depends on how you're using the word. "This is an everyday occurrence." Is correct. "This happens every day." Is correct. Switching them would be incorrect.
