Don't forget that gravity is also just a hologram. If you jump off a skyscraper you land safely on the ground. Just this morning a stepped off the roof of my office building to prove my ignorant coworker wrong. It was 35 stories tall and I'm perfectly fine. The gravity hologram only fakes the equivalent of 8ft because that's how tall most ladders are so it's important to bend your knees on the landing.
