Obsolete... That's funny considering there hasn't been any real tech advancement as far as mobile and werable devices go in the past how many years now..?

New CPU More RAM More Megapixels

I just summed up all the new features for the next 10 devices. Lol

They're taking away features. No 3.5mm jack, no removable storage or battery, harder to jailbreak/root, etc.

If the EU has done just one good thing in its entire existence, it would be mandating removable batteries. Let's see how that pans out.

Manufacturers will probably still seal up North American versions of the products.

My phone is seven years old, and I need something a bit zippier, but every time I look there's nothing but garbage and I give up. The only good phones are those weird Korean ones and the Asus ROG line, which don't work on our fucking networks.

None of what you mentioned is a lack of features. They are improvements. And if you don't buy a phone that's completely jewed you can unlock the bootloader and root no problem.

Removable batteries are not needed. One lithium battery should last years if properly maintained. We don't need retards replacing their battery every two months because they don't know how to care for their device. Lithium/Cobalt mining "literally" destroys the earth.

3.5 mm jacks are also unneeded and removing it was an upgrade.

Removable storage? Most phones come with +32gb of storage. Why would you need more on a phone? Use a usb or wifi and transfer it to a more permanent storage location.

I'm talking about new features not manufacturers phasing out depreciated tech aka 3.5 mm jacks.

3.5mm is deprecated because you says so? Yeah, okay. It's a direct analog signal from the DAC. Bluetooth is a shit protocol for high quality audio, and dongles are another layer of obfuscation- a proprietary DAC on top of a DAC. If it isn't broken, don't fix it.

Removable batteries aren't about the cherry-picked garbage you say; they can be useful for many reasons, but primarily in that it's a simple right to repair issue. 32gb of storage is trash, especially for android. 64gb is hardly enough for that bloated carcass of an OS. Not everyone has the luxury of being home every day, or even every month. Why someone wants or needs physical storage is their perogative.

You sound like corporate marketing. "This product is better because it has less features, and you're an idiot if you disagree"
