Not going to waste my time watching another bastardized version of Dune. They had a remake some years ago and for some reason the writers/ director thought it would be a great idea if Paul Atreides aka Muad'Dib aka Usul was a sniveling cuck, scared of his own shadow and prone to crying when the going got tough.What an absolute piece of garbage that film was and I doubt that this new piece of garbage will be any better.

I know some are excited about the upcoming Dune movie, but I just can't get interested anymore in Hollywood BS.

I just don't care. I'd rather watch John Wayne reruns.

Some liberties are definitely being taken, with the character of Liet Kynes in particular being gender-swapped in the film. Liet will be played by Sharon Duncan-Brewster, and most expect her to be the mother of Chani in this adaptation.

Gay. It seemed like it was going to be a fairly faithful return to old school sci-fi flicks. Oh well.
