It wouldn't be done well, anyway; the scope is too vast, some of the S/Fx and CGI needed is still too shitty to work and not look fake, and the directors always fuck them up with their "vision". Same with the upcoming Wheel of Time, and any potential effort to do the Malazan series.
If you never see the movie, it can't tarnish the book for you. And, fuck Hollywood.
