Watched all of season 1. Excellent. A little much on the mental issue, but very cool otherwise.

I just downloaded season 1. Havent watched it yet. Its on the top of my " to watch list".

The worst part was it kept the (((formula))) It had women in power positions, such as squad leader. and all were good guys. The bad guys were all men.

Add that to the bad pacing, mediocre acting. Not sure what is so great about it. It's merely more subtle.

Ya know, I've been watching it for the past few days and I think it's great. It wasn't even until reading this article that it occurred to me that there is almost no woke bullshit in this series. Only faggot leftists think everything has to be inclusive and diverse with their faggy tranny bullshit. This is just a good series.

I have to admit I’m scared to even click on anything half new because I just assume it will be full of woke horseshit and I’ll just end up turning it off anyhow.

Well they did change the reporter from a hot Eastern European woman, in the book, to an asian. Other than that was pretty good.

Pratt is barely recognizable in the show. The qualities that made him stand out in a sea of young male actors are all gone. And to be frank he doesn't really have the acting chops to pull off the dramatic scenes. He's not terrible -- which is saying something -- but he's not very compelling either.

The opening action sequence that sets up the whole show is kind of ham fistedly put together so doesn't really have the necessary weight it needs to carry the show forward. Again it's not terrible but, after one episode, I'm not really feeling it as the saying goes. But the potential is there.

There's some rather clumsy, heavily cliched dialogue too, that doesn't exactly help.

But the show is clearly about the story and characters which, as OP points out, is a refreshing change from having woke opinions shoveled down our throats. I continue to watch in the hope that the show finds its stride and settles into it.
