Back in the day, you d go to record stores and they had headphones where you could listen to a few selected cds

I ll never forget listening to Korn for the first time.

I know I am not supposed to say thst my favourite Korn song is actually a Limp Bizkit song.. Let alone a rap song..

But All on The Family.. Is just so fucking awesome.

Blew my mind.

Love Korn.

I first heard them on a way to a G&R concert, shit changed again.

Never heard of them you feel me, but I did hang out with Rodney Bingenheimer once for three days.

He got all them guys started including Blondie.

Good documentary about him called 'The mayor of Sunset Strip.'

Rodney's English Disco basically started the modern LA scene. There's a curated playlist on Pandora called "South Bay LA" that plays the stuff that made KROQ a legendary radio station, which Bingenheimer also played a large role in.
There's even a great remix of 'Mirror In the Bathroom' that was popular in the area at the time. The 80's in LA were something else

Yeah, I think I barely missed them. I saw Rodney on Tom Snyder and was going to LA at the time so I tracked him down at the Denny's where he hung out and pestered him for a few days, went to his club, it was all new stuff to me. Nice guy. Didn't know till later who he really was and what all was going on.

Never have bothered listening to Korn, nor Hole, presuming it to be a waste of time. Why start now?

Hole is admittedly decent (better than Nirvana), not anything special though. They nailed the 90s grunge rock sound but they were not anything remarkable or memorable. They were competent and I can't criticize their music much aside from it being generic in comparison to other bands of the era. Not bad at all, but also not good enough to be mentioned with the likes of Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Pantera, etc.

Korn is actually good if you like that style. They're not my favorite 90s band by far, but comparing Korn to Hole is unfair to Korn. These guys did create something unique.

Only mentioned Hole with Korn to reference Cornhole.

Why are you here?

I’m not.
