I'll differ in opinion vs most here: The US military is controlled by external forces. It doesn't represent the will of the people.

We can't get rid of it, so all we can do is neuter it to the point of being completely ineffective and mostly harmless.

I don't fear an invasion from a foreign power. I don't care what happens in Africa or the sandbox. At this point, the US military will only do more harm than good.
