Enter the jury, but a judge can block evidence from a jury, or straight up deny a fair trial through procedural shenanigans, chiefly by enabling and condoning shenanigans by rotten plaintiffs. The ultimate jury however is the public, the people. And there evidence is very effective, as long as a functioning forum and access to reliable info is allowed to exist. The courts seek to administer fair justice only between parties not affiliated with the governing powers and interests, i.e. plain Joes & Janes. In all other matters the courts proceed with insurmountable prejudice in favor of the entrenched powers, and ruthlessly so.

That patent application has been updated 4 times (it says so, right there on the first page--"continuation of...."). It was originally filed in 2016 then update in 2017, twice in 2019, and again in 2020. The patent is for transmitting biometric data. The mention of COVID-19 is an example and is not material to patent itself. It was likely added in one of the 3 latest updates.
